CAGA INTRODUCTION

The (CAGA) is a Canadian nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion, preservation, education, and ethical advancement of ammolite and ammonite gemstones. Our mission is to support the growth and recognition of Canada’s national gemstone through education, collaboration, advocacy, research, and community engagement. Membership is open to everyone with an interest in ammolite, including miners, lapidaries, jewelers, collectors, researchers, educators, retailers, Indigenous artists, students, and enthusiasts from around the world.

CAGA was formed to help unite and strengthen the ammolite industry while preserving the history, authenticity, and cultural significance of this rare and uniquely Canadian gemstone. We aim to create a welcoming and professional organization that encourages transparency, ethical practices, innovation, and cooperation within the gemstone and fossil community. Through educational resources, public outreach, trade collaboration, events, workshops, and online engagement, we strive to increase awareness and appreciation of ammolite on both a national and international level.

The Association supports its members by providing networking opportunities, industry resources, educational materials, promotional initiatives, and community-driven projects designed to help grow the visibility and value of ammolite. CAGA also works to encourage responsible disclosure standards, consumer education, and professional representation within the gemstone market. Members receive updates through newsletters, social media, meetings, and special events while gaining the opportunity to connect with others who share a passion for Canada’s extraordinary gemstone heritage.
